How do I sign-up to work at a GSA Telework Center?

1. Visit or telephone the Telework center you wish to use and discuss availability and technology requirements with the center operator. A direct link to all of the centers may be found at: www.wmtc.org  and a brief summary about all of the Telework centers is listed below.

2. Discuss and complete the Telework Facility Reimbursement Sheet (TFRS) found in the Telework Centers Library at this site with your agency's telework coordinator.

3. Complete any training and evaluation activities or telework agreements required by the agency.

4. Notify the telecenter director of intended telework start date.

5. All users MUST provide an annual updated copy of the approved TFRS to the telework center director with a fax copy to Prentice Einarsen at (202) 501-3421.

How do I sign up to use a telework center?

The following outlines procedures prospective user agencies should follow when planning to use the GSA telework centers. These procedures are intended to facilitate a successful telework experience by getting the agency off to a good start.

Prospective teleworkers will:

1. Contact their respective agency telework coordinator for information about their agency requirements.

2. Visit or telephone the intended telework center and discuss workstation availability and technology requirements with the center director.

3. Discuss dial-up, remote e-mail and file transfer capabilities with your agency or department technical support staff. If necessary, have your technical staff contact the center manager to coordinate dial-up procedures and other specific technical arrangements.

4. Complete a Telework Center Reimbursement Sheet (TFRS).

5. Complete any training and evaluation activities or telework agreements required by the agency.

6. Notify the telecenter director of intended telework start date.

Signing up to work in a GSA Telework Center is as E-Z as 1-2-3!

1. Complete a Telework Center Reimbursement Sheet (TFRS).

(All users must give a copy of their agency approved TFRS to the appropriate Telework Center Director. The sheet validates and approves reimbursement of telecenter services to GSA.)

2. Send a copy of the approved sheet to your agency Finance Office, take a copy of the sheet to the telecenter director where you will be working and send or FAX a copy of the information sheet to:

Are there other telework centers inside and outside of the Washington DC Metropolitan area not operated by the GSA?

There are several telework centers in the Washington DC area and other parts of the country, however, these telework centers are not operated by GSA. Telephone the center directly for more information.
